Flynn Systems and StarTest, along with their subsidiary JTAG.TECT (www.jtag-test.ru), have established a strategic relationship making JTAG.TECT the authorized Flynn Systems’ onTAP Boundary Scan Solutions dealer in Russia and countries of the former USSR. JTAG.TECT bundles onTAP Boundary Scan Solutions with their JTAG test solutions and services and provides complete JTAG tutorial and customer consulting, DFT and JTAG test program development support for onTAP. Flynn Systems Releases new HighSpeed USB JTAG Test and Programming Cable for onTAP® Boundary Scan Software

NASHUA, NH September 16, 2009 – Flynn Systems Corporation announces the release of its USB Dual Channel 30MHz HighSpeed Test and Programming Cable for Boundary Scan applications. The HighSpeed Cable is the newest tool in the suite of hardware components to accompany onTAP® Series 4000 with ProScan®.

As implementation of IEEE 1149.1 and 1149.X Boundary Scan testing becomes more widespread, greater flexibility, faster speeds, and smoother operation are needed. This onTAP cable offers two independent 30MHz channels, helpful both for cutting Flash programming times and running multi-JTAG chain configurations. Each JTAG port self-adjusts to the target voltage reference or to an adjustable internal voltage reference.

Flynn Systems’ onTAP® software supports running multiple dual-channel cables for applications having more than two JTAG chains. In addition, the onTAP High Speed Cable can be used with the onTAP Serializer & GPIO boards.

onTAP Series 4000: Escape Communications Embedded JTAG Test and Programming Solution

NASHUA, NH April 3, 2009 – Flynn Systems Corp is proud to announce that Escape Communications, of Torrance, California, (www.escapecom.com), a trusted provider of point-to-point microwave radio indoor units (IDUs) for commercial telecommunications OEMs and custom advanced signal processing designs for major space and defense contractors, has selected onTAP as their embedded JTAG Test solution for their newest product.

Escape sought to improve their physical user interface for testing, especially during the manufacturing process. Having already developed a test executive with an intuitive GUI, Escape needed to eliminate proprietary third party test fixtures, some of which were outdated and unreliable, and integrate reliable, easy to use, and cost-effective test capabilities into their new Automated Test Board (ATB) design.

In previous projects, Escape had recognized the high value of comprehensive IEEE 1149.1 tests and had successfully used onTAP software for boundary scan test applications. The major test and development challenges for their current ATB project were limited physical access to the board and limited boundary scan access. “Some devices were not able to interface via boundary scan,” said Ted Pascaru, Director of Operations for Escape Communications, “and other devices required proprietary test and programming methods…We needed a solution that would make it easier for us, our customers, and manufacturers to access the board and conduct the necessary tests.”

From a single test port, a design, test, or manufacturing test engineer can simply plug the board into an onTAP-enabled PC or laptop, and run a complete suite of pre-developed onTAP boundary scan tests. onTAP’s automated test generation delivers the highest possible fault coverage with a graphical debugging environment that provides pin-level diagnostic messages and detailed test reports. Navigating the Scan Path to Higher Fault Coverage

NASHUA, NH August 15, 2008 – Flynn Systems Corp’s onTAP Series 4000 featuring their newest tool, ProScan, boosts fault coverage and increases visibility for Boundary Scan/JTAG 1149.1 testing through increased automation and graphical interfaces. By tapping its roots as a leader in Automatic Test Pattern Generation, Flynn Systems has seamlessly integrated ATPG for boundary scan circuits with ATPG algorithms for complex networks of non-scan circuits, such as logic elements, buffers, transceivers, and resistor networks that often lie between boundary scan pins.

“The goal is to exploit JTAG testing to achieve maximum fault coverage in addition to Flash programming and configuration tasks,” says Hank Flynn, CEO of Flynn Systems Corp. onTAP® Now Has Memory Test and FLASH Programming

Nashua, NH - September 13, 2004 — In a move that extends the power of its popular programming cable-based boundary scan test software, Flynn Systems announces the immediate availability of memory test and Flash programming, based on reusable C-like models.

With its very high-end set of features, onTAP is targeted toward test and design engineers wishing to test boards designed with JTAG devices as well as memory, Flash, and other non-JTAG parts. In support of Flash programming, Flynn Systems is also announcing availability of up to 10 MHz clock rates when running the Xilinx Programming Cable IV.

onTAP’s rich feature set provides an intuitive user interface that guides new and experienced users alike through test development. onTAP boasts a robust ATPG engine that offers test development and run time licenses, BSDL syntax verification, pin-level diagnostics, plus testability reporting. onTAP supports a full battery of IEEE 1149.1 tests including TAP, interconnect, shorts, opens, bus-wire, resistors, INTEST, flash and memory device ‘cluster’ testing, and ISP programming.
